The finalists for the first ever Yello International Bashment Soca Monarch Competition have been announced. Last Friday with a live announcement on 98.1 The ONE, the 12 Finalists names were finally released, after much speculation on which songs would make it to the finals.

It was noted by 4D Entertainment that Mr. Joel ‘Dynamite’ Tyril withdrew from the competition. 4D Entertainment Inc., the producers of the competition, also said that there was global interest in the competition, with votes coming in from across the globe. “We received thousands of vote submissions from across the world, coming from as far as Sweden and Switzerland, to England, the USA, Canada and all over the Caribbean. That augers well for this genre of music,” said Mr. Rudy Maloney from 4D Entertainment.

St. Lucian artiste Freezy, the artist behind the mega smash hit 'Split In De Middle', makes it through with 'Badang'.
Jagwa De Champ makes it through with his very popular song 'Face Down'.
Jah Reddis - Bamm Bamm
Jus D showcases versatility with his impressive bashment soca track 'Manager'.
Soca superstar Lil Rick makes it to the finals with 'Bend It'.
Marzville is back for another Crop Over season with 'Roughness'.
Porgie & Murda reach through with the catchy 'Come Down' on the Nelson Street Riddim.
Rhea has an extremely catchy tune 'Bounce' which the judges put through to the finals.
Scrilla - Ooh Ooh
St. Vincent artiste Sita also reaches through to the finals with a strong track 'Hammer'.
Stabby is a veteran to the bashment soca scene and it was expected for him to reach the finals, with another bashy track 'Tongue Out'.
Stiffy was the previous Bashment Soca Champion. The question remains if he will be the first ever Intl Bashment Soca Champion with 'No Boring Girls Allowed'.
